A solarpunk themed venue on Diabolos, featuring food and drink, fights, and bounty prompts. Doors open twice monthly, on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. We offer a variety of services and roleplay. The general venue is rated 18+ for mature themes, including nudity, discussion of drinks, drugs, and violence. In character, the Wyld and its venue is a politically neutral ground. A sanctum for refugees, ex-Garleans, dubiously moral mercenaries, voidsent, black mages, and more. Be warned - political neutrality won't save open fascists and troublemakers. The owner of the establishment is notoriously against any positive speak of the Empire, especially.

    venue rules

❖O2.Solarpunk has punk in the name for a reason! Openly Imperial characters won't be protected from in-character backlash.
❖O3.If a player is making you uncomfortable or has seriously harmed you/others, please notify staff and we will ask them to change their behavior or remove themself from the venue.
❖O4.Staff will use materia melding and LFG statuses. Please avoid using these as a patron.

❖O6.Only ring fights and fights in private rooms are permitted as IC violence. unsanctioned scraps and bar fights will be stopped... or joined, if one offender is found to be particularly problematic.

    what you've heard

You've heard tell of the Wyld, and the confluence of oddities within their rank. Once based in Shirogane, then in the Goblet, they've moved suddenly to Ishgard. Their first location seemed to bear... scorch marks on the outer walls, according to those who used to attend. The second had nothing... ostensibly wrong with it.The Wyld Hunt has always been a beacon for the enigmatic, the bizarre, and the outcast. Those of truly strange origin and tale congregate here. One would almost think that the premises are haunted, given the frequency with which the ring, suspended over water, is subject to odd reversals of expectation. Those who are weak often find themselves the victors, and those of great strength are, at times, swiftly knocked out.Their company is fraught with oddity and entity. The jobs these individuals are known for oft run them in to the ire of the villainous. Their ringleader, especially, is known to turn their blade upon the corrupt and the unholy, even when the promise of gold would persuade lesser men.

    The Ring

Fighters are welcome to attempt the challenge that is the Wyld Hunt's ring. Many venues conduct spars in spacious fight pits, large stages, cages, or outdoor arenas. The Hunt features only a small stage just big enough for two combatants, suspended over a pool of water. Victory requires careful use of space and the self-control to maintain a balance that many sparring grounds do not require. Careful control of one's own momentum and force is required to maintain the upper hand.Watch your footing, or your round may be over sooner than expected...

    rules of the ring

❖O1.Once the ring is entered by two combatants, the round begins. A round lasts until one of the two combatants lands three hits, once 20 minutes have passed, or when one or both combatants fall from the stage. Grindstone rules apply.
❖O2.A round ends prematurely on critical fail defenses (0-50) or critical success attacks (950-998), in which the defender is pushed off of the stage.
❖O3.Rolls of 0 and 999 end a round from either combatant. A round can end prematurely if the attacker rolls a 0, in which case that combatant's momentum carries them out of the ring while attacking, or the attacker rolls a 999, in which case both combatants fall from the force of the attack. If the defender rolls a 0, then both combatants fall from the force of the attack. If the defender rolls a 999, the attacker is knocked from the ring by their own momentum.
❖O4.A knockout can no longer occur on the first strike of a match from either combatant.
❖O5.The victor may choose to retire early, or continue up to three matches. Those who win three matches earn themselves the title of Ring Champion.
❖O6.If there are two combatants in the ring already, patrons may still sign up, and will be placed into a queue to enter after one falls.
❖O7.Body modification by use of aether, magic, or alchemy is permissible. Magic also is allowed within the ring. The fence around the edge bears a ward that prevents the escape of any aetheric effects into the venue.
❖O8.Fights have twenty minutes to resolve if they do not resolve naturally. The announcer will call the victor in the event of a fight that has not resolved on its own, in favor of the combatant with the most hits at the culmination of twenty minutes. In the event of a tie, the fighters will roll sudden death. The higher roll takes the match, irrespective of who is attacking and who is defending.
❖O9.No killing or maiming of opponents. Weapons are permissible, but blunting them is recommended. The Hunt staffs healers, who will mend most damages after each match.
❖10.Fighters may sign up again immediately after their match, regardless of the outcome.

    SERIES OO1. Jan 29-May 22

Beginning January 29th and ending after the opening of May 22nd, 2025, the Wyld Hunt is beginning its first Series. Series oo1 will span 8 opening nights, in which participants have the opportunity to climb the ranking and fight for the grand prize. Standings will update at the end of each opening period. Combatants in the ring have the opportunity to gain one point for each victory during the Series, and five for each three-win streak. The top three players in the Wyld Hunt's standings will be awarded a gil prize when the Series closes.

The Wyld Hunt offers a number of services, between catering, drinks, and paid private chambers for discussing matters that may be best served slightly outside of the public eye. Staff members will provide their very best service in making sure everyone is provided for and comfortable in the venue. We serve drinks of varying strengths, assured to have one exactly where they please.Non-alcoholic substitutes are available as well for every mix. Bartenders are given permission to cut off patrons who seem to struggle with alcoholism, or fail to stop at their limit. While the Hunt is far from an all-ages-appropriate venue, our staff encourages those under the thumb of addiction to seek aid, and will do our utmost to see them home safely.

    Food & Drink

Drinks do not have an associated gil cost. All costs are strictly in-character and are free of charge out of character. However, tips are still permitted (and appreciated)! Our bartenders keep their tips in full and are not expected to give a portion to the venue.

    Ishgardian Lady

Gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and carbonated springwater, served with a lemon wedge and candied cherries. Sanctioned by the Halonic church... maybe.

    Belah'dian Smoke

Ul'dahn bourbon, honey syrup, Thavnairian bitters, and lemon peel. All of the dusty flavor of a lost civilization, and strong enough to make you feel risen from the dead the next morning.

    Red Rascal

Bourbon, lemon, maple syrup and topped with red wine. Topped off with a curly lemon peel for the sophisticated brawler.

    Sex on the Steppe

Spiced rum, simple syrup, and milk imported from the steppe itself, topped with a fine cinnamon and nutmeg powder. A fine mix of smooth and spiced, certain to enrapture your evening.

    Sparkly Goobbue

A mix of grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur, aperol and bitters, topped off with a sprinkling of edible glitter. Sure to have you feeling as boneless as its namesake!

    Black Orchid

Raspberry flavored Garlean vodka, blue curaçao, watermelon pucker, and rolanberry juice. Surprisingly sweet, and quite strong. Caution is encouraged.

    Job Board

The Free Company that operates the Wyld Hunt is a go-between for many and more who need odd jobs done, and provides these jobs for independent parties to take.Patrons can submit bounties, and the Wyld may foot the reward to the contractor who picks them up.These bounties are merely prompts, nor will we verify their completion (but we would love to see what you wrote or drew if you want to share)! These are to be completed in the week between events via:

    • Drawing or commissioning your character fulfilling the bounty

    • Writing a solo drabble of your character fulfilling the bounty

    • Getting some friends together and all roleplaying fulfilling the bounty

Some bounties require a material turn-in. This does not have to be fulfilled with an ingame item!

    Break Into My Shop

A local shop housing magical items has been overtaken by items of a more malevolent nature. They have locked out the owner of the property and have free reign of all of the items inside. While the work could be dangerous, the owner is willing to pay handsomely anyone that is able to break and enter into the property and restore ownership back to them.

    PIED PIPER

A circus has come to town in Vylbrand, traveling from hamlet to hamlet... and each time they depart, a child or three disappears with the next morning. The circus takes no responsibility, clearly, and the children aren't with them, after several inspections. Find where they've gone, and bring them back home.

    GRAVEROBBING

A tavern owner in the Black Shroud has begun to operate out of a newly opened tavern... only fulms away from the entry of the Tam-Tara Deepcroft. Budding adventurers testing their mettle against the dungeon report coming out, going for a drink, and leaving with much lighter purses. Stop the bartender from taking advantage of more poor souls, if you're the sort of person.

    Mists and Mushrooms

Fog exudes from a strange fungus that has appeared across Coerthas in the last moon. Given their proximity to ruins they have not been paid much thought, though any who have ventured in are not perpetually lost; barely seen silhouettes aimlessly wandering the mists that, when called, seem to retreat further into the unknown. Though the path is one less-travelled, concerned guardsmen stationed at Camp Dragonheard fear the potential of it encroaching and have turned to the more eccentric of adventurers to handle the matter.

    REWARD. 100,000G
    Not Yet Claimed

    Scholastic Schematics

A Sharlayan scholar entered our halls bemoaning of their lack of combat prowess in the face of a challenge befitting one who holds such prerequisites. They claim to have found a crack in the Gubal Library's walls and, upon inspection, have found a schematic that would allow for them to enhance their nouliths. No sooner did they reach for the schematic, however, that the denizens and defences of the library had other ideas. They turned tail and ran, and beseech any would-be adventurer to return with them to handle the threats so that they may claim the schematics without delay.

    Starlight, Not Right...

In the last few nights, the Temple Knights have reported that childrens' toys have been disappearing from their homes and placed along the outer roads. As far as the guards can tell there are no traces of robbery, and the toys - while found - cannot be moved from their new location. The sheer abundance of toys continues to grow around the perimeter of the city, and the knights beseech for someone to determine the cause of this peculiar behaviour.

    meet our staff

The staff of the Hunt. A strange, motley crew of outcasts, misfits, misunderstood, and profiled individuals. Those who struggle to find 'home' anywhere else fit in here well, protected fiercely by the vanguard of their number - an ex-soldier who's hardly grown past the mindset. They are both the inner circle and tangential: present precisely when they wish to be. For some, that is always. For others, fate calls them elsewhere...

    Yora Caarvelian

    general manager

Once notorious and cruel, now a wraith of the past trying to mend the scars they long ago inflicted. Living weapon, cursed mongrel, protector of all those who have been hurt.

    Beau Dawnstrider

    manager

You swear you recognize her face, but can't quite place it. She'll put down her blade when her arms can no longer hold it, and will only smile as she burns herself to the quick.

    Zamilan Dotharl

    announcer

Embodiment of the elements, a whirlwind of energy and life. A shadowed past makes no match for the radiant burn that is their present self.

    talic grafton

    janitor / generalist

A soft soul outwardly, they hide well their rage. One would think that they truly felt none - soft spoken and kind to those who have not yet pried apart their outer shell. A strange confluence of aether whirls about them.

    Himawari Roda

    generalist

    c'reme brulee

    front desk

Never without his chocobo mask, his cheerful demeanor hides a past unspoken. It's hard to believe, at times, that his mask doesn't bear rose-tinted lenses.

    Stray Residents

Some within these walls do not necessarily fulfil staffing roles and duties outwardly seen. These staff are newer to the Hunt, or prefer to appear on a less regular basis. These are individuals who have seen the chaos the Wyld creates and brings in its wake, and have chosen to remain tangential. These staff choose their hours and arrive when they please, and sometimes do not stay the full shift.

    PRIVATE CHAMBERS

This page is a work-in-progress. You do not see the man behind the curtain.

    The Back Rooms

While the Hunt peddles itself as a fully legal and above-board venue, it exists also as a refuge for a group of myriad individuals who - more often than not - seek comfort within the manor's walls. Indeed, being a former noble's manor house there exists a vast amount of unused space that is, slowly but surely, being re-fit for purpose. Should you seek a more private setting, you need only enquire at the desk. Or, if you so wish, try your luck and snoop...(Please note that any rooms not marked here are not available to be used without seeking permission from the resident.)

    Room 01 : Smoke & Water

Somber, quiet, and modern. This space is the respite of choice for management once the venue's chaotic endeavours have ceased for an eve...

Room 04 : The Wide Window

A waiting room of some kind? Or perhaps it is just a charming balcony, converted to be a quiet place to rest and recuperate after a night's chaos.

    Room 07 : A Touch of Ishgard

Want to stay in the Forgotten Knight but not have to handle the drunk patrons? This acts as a most excellent alternative for you, and includes breakfast!

room 03 : eye of the hurricane

Bright, colourful and full of delightful fish. This space acts as a respite and boasts many amenities that one may find comfort in.

    Room 05 : The Infirmary

There are times when our healers need to do a touch more than a patch job or a tincture down the throat. No good fight club would be without an infirm!

    Room 08 : The Kitchens

Strays shall often find themselves shuffling to the kitchens to partake in whatever meal may have been prepared that day. No requests, typically.

This is the set-up I used to use! The drawback is that if you want to alternate sides, it can get cumbersome to swap back and forth if you want to maintain staff in a certain order, which is why I swapped to the format above lol. This looks best if the height of this column, including blurb, does not exceed the height of the image.
